The key to an effective marketing plan is clearly defining your objectives.

Here are some questions you should ask yourself:

  • Are you looking to increase brand awareness?
  • Do you want to attract new customers?
  • Do you want to increase sales among existing customers?
  • Are you looking to increase total number/frequency of sales of customers?
  • Are you looking to increase puchase totals per interaction with customers?

Most people look at the list above and say, "Yes!"

As you might suspect, that's not good enough and is probably why your previous marketing efforts weren't working so well.

You need to SELECT and PRIORITIZE from the list above.

But you're not done yet. While you can begin with the above, you also need to consider your existing business reality, customer base and market.
